With an impressive season behind them, the two riders and their team embarked upon the 2013 season with high aspirations. When the season opener was recently deemed over, the team had proved pretty effective at accomplishing their goals. They missed placing first by a few marks. However, four top-five finishes were definitely a testimony to their ability to ride. It also prove they were a force to be reckoned with throughout the remainder of their scheduled events.

Rolling into Elkart Lake, Wisconsin, the team was anxious to get the first "Road America" race of 2013 underway. "They were ready to get the season going," recalled Michael Jordan Motorsport Technical manager, Richie Alexander.

"It was a long break since Daytona,"he continued. "Basically, the season gets going now. The team tested a few weeks prior to the race, so the riders were feeling ready.

And feeling ready they were. In fact the riders wasted no time putting themselves in position for success. At the events end, Hayden had managed to earn a third and a fifth place finish. When the event was deemed over, his teammate, had made a showing as well. Eslick was positioned in fifth place both times at the waving of the checkered flag.

Although success in 2012 had a positive impact on their performances during the recent opening event, one can rest assured that plenty of hard work and dedication throughout the off-season also played a role in their top-five performances.

"The team prepared by testing and continuing to make a better bike," ensured Alexander. "We are on the same machine for four years now. Our team is a bit different from the norm, because we represent the National Guard and Michael Jordan Motorsports. The team really bonds well, especially when we have all of the service men and women around."

When asked the key to success, the Technical Manager explained, "The fact that we have been able to bring in outside sponsorship to the sport. I feel like the team is really good for the sport. We are really the only ones out there bringing in the big outside sponsors. The sport needs more to follow."

Looking back at the race, Alexander shared, "The outcome was okay. We also want better results if were not winning." That in mind, the team is acutely aware of the importance of keeping their bikes maintained to the jot and tiddle.

Referring to following a stringent maintenance regiment, Alexander said, "Maintenance is extremely important. At the top, you cannot afford for any failures."

That in mind, each and every member of the Michael Jordan Motorsports team is a strong advocate of proper filtering. In fact, they depend upon K&N products to ensure a proper air and oil flow is achieved while keeping the internal components of their engines contaminant free.

"The team uses the K&N race air filters and oil filters," Alexander explained. "We have always had great success with K&N products. They perform really well on the Dyno, which translates to the Track!"

With plenty of confidence on their rider's abilities and knowing they are using the best products on the market, Michael Jordan Motorsports is looking forward to what lie in store for the remainder of 2013. "We just need to continue or progress and build on rider confidence," ensured Alexander. When asked what fans can expect throughout the remainder of the season, he concluded, "Some good ole' racing and lots of excitement with Danny and Roger."
